Fallen Angel Chilli Mocha Pale Stout (May, 2016) COFFEE - CHOCOLATE - CHILLI - MALT

WTF? A pale stout? Fallen Angel has all the characters of a stout, but delivered in a pale exterior. This full-bodied brew balances notes of bitter coffee with sweet chocolate followed by a subtle background heat from the addition of chillies.

For the Beer Geeks

To brew, we used biscuity sweet English malt, wheat and oats, then added a ridiculous amount of coffee beans, cacao nibs and vanilla beans. To top it off, we added a hint of cayenne chillies to give a subtle background heat – because chilli and chocolate are a match made in heaven.

MALT: Maris Otter, Wheat, Carapils

YEAST: 1469 West Yorkshire

IBU: 80

ABV: 6.8%
