THE AWARD WINNING BREWERY IS MAKING WAVES FAR BEYOND ITS INNER SYDNEY BASE
02.10.19

The number of independent breweries setting up shop in Australia has been growing at a fair pace over the past few years. But Sydney’s inner west – Marrickville in particular – has been busy building on its reputation as the craft beer capital of the nation. And it’s in the heart of this up-and-come suburb that Stockade Brew Co. was founded in 2015. During its four years in business, Stockade has rolled out an impressive roster of core and limited edition award-winning brews.
The enduringly popular annual release ‘The Mountie’ won GABS (Great Australian Beer Spectapular) Consumer Choice in 2017: and ‘Splicer’ – a Grapefruit XPA won a Gold Medal at this year’s AIBAs (Australian International Beer Awards). Smooth, hoppy, easy, bitter, sour or rich, Stockade’s brewers believe that good beer is not a formula – it’s personal. The Stockade motto is “All for Beer, Beer for All”, and that sums up the team’s approach to the amber liquid: their focus is simply to craft beer that quenches every thirst.
Stockade Refreshing Ale – 6x375ml $19.99
A light well-balanced and highly sessionable ale. Premium Australian malt and hops combine to produce a balanced, cool fermented ale, with crisp passionfruit notes and a subtle biscuit finish. It delivers total refreshment and a superior clean flavour.
Stockade Splicer XPA – 6x375ml $23.99
This full-flavoured beer is brewed using a perfect blend of Vic Secret, Ella and dry hopped Centennial. Grapefruit is added to the mix, creating a smashable thirst- quencher that allows the zesty flavours to show through every sip. A truly refreshing beer.
Stockade NEIPA 4x375ml $23.99
A hazy, juicy experience that will leave your taste buds in a state of continuous joy. Freshly squeezed, you’ll get a mix of citrus, pineapple, pear and passionfruit. With lingering tropical notes and a relatively low bitterness, it makes for very easy drinking.
Stockade I PA 8 Bit – 4x375ml $23.99
Brewed to balance a heavy malt base of pilsner and rye against bright cascade hops, 8 Bit has massive hop flavours and aromas. A big bitterness is delivered with a high hop flavour, balanced by a sweet malt character. This IPA is a refresher all year round.
